What is Guru Puja?

Guru Puja is a sacred vedic ceremony that expresses devotion, deep respect and gratitude towards Gurus and their ancient lineage. Rooted in ancient Vedic wisdom, it is performed through a series of Sanskrit Mantras chanted with great reverence, following a specific rhythm and pronunciation.

In this program, participants learn the correct way to chant and perform Guru Puja under the loving guidance of Smt. Bhanumati Narsimhan, sister of Gurdev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

The mantras of Guru Puja connect the mind with profound ancient knowledge and inspiring Guru Stories. Many participants have shared that while chanting and performing the puja during the course, they have experienced a deep sense of devotion and the presence of divinity, making the experience truly meaningful and enriching.

The Learning Journey

The Guru Puja course is offered in two phases, allowing participants to learn the chants step by step and deepen their understanding over time.

Guru Puja Phase I

Participants are introduced to Guru Puja chants and learn their correct pronunciation, rhythm and significance.

Eligibility: Completion of 4 AMPs (Advance Meditation Programs) and Sahaj Samadhi Meditation.

Guru Puja Phase II

In this phase, participants deepen their understanding of the chants learnt in Phase 1 and learn to perform Guru Puja with the awareness and reverence required to invoke the lineage of masters.

Eligibility: Participants may attend six months after completing Guru Puja - Phase 1.
